Want some pleasure products and other goodies?

This is a non-exhaustive, ever-growing list of savvy businesses I think are pretty rad and can help my readers, clients, and otherwise engaged humans on their journey for pleasure and wellness. Whether you’re looking for sex toys or further education, or might be unsure, this is a good place to start.

But first—disclaimers because I feel VERY strongly about transparency and agency when dealing with resources and recommendations.

Disclaimer 1: Some of links below are affiliate links, which means that if you use them and buy something, I could get some money from the referral. If that sounds like a cool way to support my work without having to fork over money yourself, go for it! Just make sure you do it in a way that allows the affiliate link to track you came from my website. More info is available here that explains what affiliate links are and how they work.

Disclaimer 2: I cannot vouch for every single pleasure product or resource that these companies offer. However, this is a curated list based on my values (e.g. LGBTQ inclusion, anti-racism, non-shitty labor practices, focus on body-safe products, etc.) so these are generally neat companies with decent products and policies. Not everything is a perfect fit, but my aim is to balance my general values with ensuring people have ideas of where to go.

Spectrum Boutique: Sex Toy Shop

What I love about them: They have a wide range of products in terms of materials, uses, tastes, brands, needs, price points, and body configurations. Plus the owner is absolutely hilarious and dedicated to education–not just selling a particular product. They also have educational content on their site in the form of digital magazines and more.

Early to Bed: Sex Toy Shop

What I love about them: They are explicitly sex-positive, feminist, and gender-affirming, and have a bit of everything on their shelves. They’ve been at this for a while, too, so there’s many years of solid experience in their business and practices.

Pleasure Mechanics: Education

What I love about them: They have all kinds of fun courses to upgrade one’s sexual repertoire and sexual wellbeing! The folks in charge of Pleasure Mechanics are also incredibly sweet and dedicated to similar values as myself, and I’ve seen them do a lot of ongoing work around racial justice specifically. They move through the world with deep kindness and awareness, and that’s very present in their work.

Sliquid: Lubricants

What I love about them: Sliquid has many really good quality products free of animal testing, parabens, or glycerin, including some that are explicitly certified organic and vegan. Especially for folks with sensitive skin, this is a good company to check out. When I was interviewed for an article on water-based lubricants, I mentioned them by name, and the article is full of valuable information about selecting one that’s right for you, so I invite you to take a peek if you want a thorough dive.

PinkLabel.TV: Ethical, Alternative Porn

What I love about them: They are acutely aware of how many people—because of our race, body size, gender identity, desires, boundaries, etc—are left out by most porn, and they have more than a few things for whoever we are and whatever we like. They’ve also partnered on amazing smutty film festivals and more, so there’s always new stuff going on.

CrashPadSeries: Ethical, Queer Porn

What I love about them: Like many of Pink & White Productions, but particularly so, CPS is all about the deliciously wide array of bodies, desires and experiences that exist in the world. Front and center is the humanity of the stellar humans that work there. If you’re curious about who you’re watching, there’s a lot of info about them as people and I find that delightful.

Kink Academy: Adult Pleasure Education

What I love about them: They have a huge library of really fun, useful videos on a super wide range of kink-related topics and techniques. They bring on amazing people and make sure to have stuff for and about everyone, upgrading their game often. Especially if there’s things you want to practice or just learn more about because you don’t understand how people can even be into them, this is a great place to go. (For example, this is where—many moons ago—I learned more in depth about sploshing kinks!)
